Doon Techno School,Howrah is dedicated to nurturing and developing student athletes, providing them with a platform to showcase their growth, abilities, and sportsmanship skills. Sports education is an integral part of DTS Howrah. In addition to fostering academic excellence, Doon Techno School encourages young minds to reach their full potential through advanced training routines under the exceptional guidance of certified coaches.
The visionary foresight of our Directors, and his commitment to sports have resulted in exceptional facilities for students in the city and across the state of West Bengal. Doon Techno School has the privilege of being able to provide its students with the best of sporting facilities. The vast grounds make it possible to provide for every sport played in school.
There are well laid out clay and hard courts for Tennis, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Badminton, Basketball, Throw Ball and Kho-Kho. Cricket and Football have huge field that accommodate more than one team at a time. Students playing cricket are provided with the turfs and nets needed for practice as well as fields to play competitive matches. Provisions have been made for indoor games such as Carrom,Table Tennis,Taekwondo and chess. All the equipment used by students for the various sports is of the finest quality. Another feather in the cap of DTS is the facility for Archery and Skating by highly qualified professional trainers.
We truly believe that increased physical activity during the school day can help children’s attention, classroom behavior and achievement in test scores. Meanwhile the decline of play is closely linked to behavioural problems and stunted social, cognitive and creative development. So,at DTS Howrah, we focus on physical fitness of our students as well as their skills and levels of competency. We also encourage our students to remain physically fit, as a sound mind can only be housed in a sound body. They are assessed for their strength, endurance, flexibility, speed and coordination through out the academic year.
